Carbohydrate chemistry and biochemistry; oligosaccaride synthesis, saccharides and complex carbohydrates in biological systems. Sweeteners:
regulation of carbohydrate metabolism in citrus fruits.

- Enzymic synthesis of oligosaccharides on polymer supports (with Dr. S. Koepper, Oldenberg, Germany). Funding: Government of Niedersachen.
