Research Interests:

Carbohydrate chemistry and biochemistry; oligosaccaride synthesis, saccharides and complex carbohydrates in biological systems. Sweeteners: regulation of carbohydrate metabolism in citrus fruits.

Research Projects:

  1. Enzymic synthesis of oligosaccharides on polymer supports (with Dr. S. Koepper, Oldenberg, Germany). Funding: Government of Niedersachen.
  2. Regulation of carbohydrate metabolism and sucrose transport in citrus fruits (with R. Goren, A. Sadak and E. Echeverria, Florida, USA.)
