Current Research Topics:

  • Adaptive decision-making and decisions from experience

  • Risk-taking under potential losses

  • Sensitivity to others' motives and re/actions

  • Choice prediction competitions

My research focuses on the behavioral processes of risk-taking in uncertain and ambiguous situations. Current interests include the way people learn to decide following personal or other's experiences, individuals' sensitivity to others' actions and motives, and the effect of losses on risk-taking. The results are typically clarified by quantitative models that can be used to predict behavior in similar situations. Recently, my colleagues and I developed a new method for assessing such models: choice prediction competitions (on individual choice see here, and on market entry games here).

Details on our new prediction competition for social preferences in simple extensive form games are here . Deadline for submissions is Dec, 1, 2012.

The managerial implications of my research are applied primarily in the domains of environmental decisions and tourism management: both are important to Israel's development but are yet to receive adequate attention from the relevant decision (and policy) makers.
