Ofra oversees everything that is going on in the lab. She is the explorer, starting new projects, and the caretaker, making sure that everybody and everything is fine.

Michal Gur Administrative helper.
Michal is an administrator of the EU-funded MiSAFE project.

Dr. Zohar Pasternak Research Associate.
Zohar does bioinformatics and biostatistics of environmental bacterial communities and devises novel approaches for comparing genomes.

Dr. Habteab Habtom Post Doc.
Habteab is an ecologist. The aim of his project is to characterize soil variability through the analysis of soil microbial diversity as related to environmental parameters. ht.habtom@gmail.com


Einav Aharon M.Sc. student.
Einav examines the interactions of Bdellovibrio and like organisms with plant pathogens (in collaboration with Saul Burdman).

Ofir Avidan Ph.D. candidate. 
Ofir studies Bdellovibrio responses when the predator encounters a prey (in collaboration with Shmuel Pietrokovski).

Anna Benchimol. Undergraduate project.
Anna screens the lab's collection of predatory bacteria for taxonomic and phenotypic characterization of the isolates.

Yossi Cohen Ph.D. candidate.
Yossi examines Bdellovibrio and like organisms in wastewater treatment plants.

Rita Petrenko PhD. candidate
Rita studies signalling components in Bdellovibrio and like organisms.

Diana Rasoulouniriana Ph.D. candidate.
Diana studies the predator role of Bdellovibrio and like organisms in aquaculture using zero-discharge system (in collaboration with Jaap van Rijn).

Or studies the first steps of the interaction between Bdellovibrio bacteriovorus and its bacteria prey.
