Enzymes and proteins that modify and bind to polysaccharides. Plant
cell wall synthesis. Plant biotechnology.
Research Projects:
1. Elongation specific
endo-1,4-beta-glucanase.
2. Cellulose synthesis and plant growth
in transgenic plants expressing bacterial cellulose binding domain
(CBD).
3. Engineering CBD-fusion proteins for
biotechnological applications.
4. SPs, novel chaperon-like
proteins.
5. Metabolic engineering of transgenic
plants by A. niger beta-glucosidase
6. Fungal actin binding protein; a potent
