Physico-chemical processes of organic pollutants such as agrochemicals (pesticides and herbicides), pharmaceutical compounds, and highly hydrophobic pollutants (PAHs and PCBs) that occur in natural and contaminated soils and sediments:
(1) interactions (sorption-desorption behavior) between pollutants and soil organic matter or plant biopolymers (cutin and cutan),
(2) the fate of organic pollutants in the environment,
(3) the fate of organic pollutants in soils irrigated with reclaimed wastewater, and
(4) bioremediation processes.
